Today,I'm gonna show you how to model a simple Rubik Model
First,Create a Box with a setting like this (You can change the Width,Height and Length,however they must be the same)

Now,convert your newly created box into editable poly and select all polygons
[3DSMax] Modeling A Simple Rubik Cube Rubik2
Scroll down and select the Bevel settings,then change the Height to 0.0 and the Outline to your liking

Now then,choose Bevel again,but this time,the Outline amount is 0.0 and the Height is up to you
[3DSMax] Modeling A Simple Rubik Cube Rubik4
Right,you are done with the modeling part,now you can create your own Material and apply to it,and you are done ^.^
