Today, I'm gonna show you how to model a simple paper wastebin
First, create a Cylinder with Cap Segments:1 (Must) and Height Segments:20(You can change it if you want)
Now, convert it to editable poly and select all of the vertexes except the bottom ones
Use move tools to move it up a little, do the same to the top vertexes, you should now have the followings
Now switch to poly mode and choose all of the polygons in the middle
Select Inset (The smaller box) and select Polygon Mode - Outline amount at 0.3 or more (If you want)
Hit delete once you are done, select the top polygon and delete it too
Add a shell modifier and select outer amount 0.5 (or more)
Good, now apply a taper modifier (if you want it to have a conic look) and optimize your settings
Optional:If you want to have it look fancy then add a Twist Modifier and change your own settings
You are now done with the modeling part ^.^
